Selected work

Six projects, six different problems

Each one started with a survey and a measurement — none of them started with a film sample.

Curtain-wall office building with filmed west elevation

Commercial · Solar control

Nine-storey curtain wall, west elevation

Perimeter overheating on floors 4–9. A neutral solar film was specified for the west and south-west glass only, leaving north glazing untouched.

4,800 sq ft · 3 elevations · installed over two weekends

Living room with large west-facing windows

Residential · Solar control

West-facing living room, 1970s build

Single-glazed sliding doors made the room unusable from mid-afternoon. A spectrally selective grade kept the view and the daylight.

260 sq ft · one day · 10-year warranty registered

Retail glazing with frosted privacy film

Retail · Privacy & branding

Showroom glazing and back-of-house

Gradient frost on the street frontage for privacy, clear safety film on the display panes, cut-vinyl logo band on the entrance.

18 panes · frost + safety + graphics

Safety film retaining broken glass

Education · Safety

Secondary school corridor glazing

Full-height corridor partitions filmed with 8 mil safety film and anchored at the frame, plus anti-spall film on entrance doors.

1,100 sq ft · installed during half-term

Open-plan office with filmed glazing

Office · Glare

Open-plan floor, 120 desks

Screen glare across a south-facing floorplate. Film reduced daylight to a workable level so blinds could stay open.

2,300 sq ft · out-of-hours install

Installer working at height on industrial glazing

Industrial · Heat

Warehouse rooflights and facade

High-level glazing driving heat into a packing hall. Film specified for IR rejection with minimal visual change.

3,600 sq ft · scissor-lift access

Method

Why the survey decides the outcome

Two buildings on the same street can need opposite specifications. One has 6 mm clear float behind a blind; the next has a low-e sealed unit with a solar-control coating already doing the work.

We measure glass type, check for coatings, log orientation and shading, and test a sample pane. That is what stops a project ending in a refunded elevation — and it is why our quotes are longer than a square-foot price.

  • Glass and coating identification on every elevation
  • Sample panels before order
  • Written access and working-hours plan for occupied buildings
