How it works
Colour change without paint
Calendered and cast vinyl sits on the paint and changes the colour. Air-release channels let a trained hand lay it without trapping bubbles, and the adhesive is designed to come off without residue within the film's rated life.
It changes the colour, not the shape. A wrap over dents, rust or poor paint just makes those flaws more visible — the panel has to be right before the film goes on.
Selection
Cast, calendered, and the finish
Cast film conforms better on deep curves and lasts longer; calendered is the value option for flat and lightly curved panels. Gloss, matte, carbon and forged are finish choices, not durability grades.
For fleet livery and graphics the same film carries the print; the difference is the artwork, not the polymer. Tell us whether the buyer wants a colour change or a brand, and the supply is the same roll.
Installation
Seams, heat and patience
Colour change is a full vehicle job: panels wrapped, seams hidden at edges, post-heated to settle. A poor seam is visible from across the car park, and a bubble in a gloss panel reads as a defect even when it is not.
Removal is part of the product — a quality film lifts cleanly within its rated life. Left for years in sun, adhesive hardens and removal gets slower, so the rated life is a real number, not a marketing one.
Export packing
Rolled for the journey
Boxed on cores, palletised, with your label on OEM runs. Say the destination and we build the packing to the container, not the other way round.
Limits
Where this film is the wrong answer
Vinyl changes colour, not contours. It will not hide dents or rust, and a matte finish shows every mark on the panel beneath — the surface has to be right before the film goes on.
Questions
What buyers ask before ordering
Four questions that decide most orders in this series.
Cast or calendered?
Cast for full wraps on curved bodies and the longest life; calendered for flat surfaces and tighter budgets. The price gap is real and so is the performance gap — sell the right one for the panel.
Does it damage the paint?
Removed within its rated life, a quality film comes off without residue. Left for years in sun, adhesive can harden — say the market and we match the film to the climate it will live in.
Can it be printed or branded?
Yes — fleet livery and graphics are a core use. We supply the film; your printer applies the art. Private-label cartons are available on OEM runs.
How is it packed for export?
Rolls boxed, palletised, strapped; private-label cartons available. Say the destination port and we build the packing to it.
